Where do you guys sell anyways?

The Short Answer:

The typical answer you will hear from me is, “Pepperell to Plymouth…We have you covered!” We have indeed sold homes in these towns and they pretty much mark the boundaries of our coverage area. This year we even sold our first Cape Cod property! I found an awesome mapping tool to show you all the places that we have sold in Eastern Massachusetts.

The Long Answer: Why we cover a large area

Back in 2006, Pat decided to get into real estate. He was living up in Chelmsford and ended up joining a local brokerage, Remax Prestige as a part-time agent. Although he only lived and worked up in this area for a short one year span, he was able to meet some great people, make new friends and help a few clients along the way. This accounts for the first few sales being in northern Middlesex County.

When you first get into real estate you rely heavily on the referrals of friends, family, acquaintances, and anyone and everyone you’ve ever talked to. In the biz, we call this your “sphere of influence”. It is a HUGE MISCONCEPTION that you become an agent and are just handed houses to sell or buyers ready to move now. Also, you don’t get an hourly rate in real estate, so new agents aren’t rolling in the dough. Without me digressing into a tangent on what it really is to be a Realtor, I’ll get back to the story. So in 2007, Pat had moved back to his old stomping ground, Roslindale, and moved over to Remax Way in Dedham, a branch much closer to where he was planning on living a while.

From 2007 until 2015, Pat’s primary focus was in and around Boston. The people that couldn’t keep up with the rising cost of the city or wanted more bang for their buck started to migrate further south and Pat was more than happy to help them in these different areas.

In the summer of  2015, we had just sold our condo in Roslindale and moved back up to Chelmsford. At this point, many clients that Pat worked with at the very first brokerage were ready to upsize their homes or referring him to their friends and family who also lived up in the Middlesex County area. With business pulling Pat in all directions in Massachusetts he was ready to hire some help. Ultimately the idea came up that maybe it was time for me to make the leap into real estate… (oo blog idea… Why I got into Real Estate, but that’s another story for another day)

So in 2016, I got my real estate license.. we both bought hybrid vehicles and we’ve been cruising Eastern Massachusetts helping people buy and sell homes. We even decided to join eXp Realty, an agent-owned cloud-based brokerage, a new technology-driven model in the industry. With no brick and mortar building to anchor us to a specific area, we are free to help anywhere!
