Miles of road….

Being in real estate is often joked as actually being “wheel estate”. As one might imagine we drive an excessive amount of miles. Enough miles to warrant buying not one but TWO hybrid vehicles. Speaking of which, shout out to Toyota! I love my Highlander more than any other car I’ve ever owned.

We hear all the time…. ” I don’t know how you do it…. I HATE driving….. I hate TRAFFIC”. Well it’s a given that everyone hates traffic. But I choose to be an optimist on the things I cannot change so I have the mindset that there are 4 silver linings for driving as much as we do….

1. You learn backroads quickly and become a savvy navigator
2. That in turn usually causes us to be explorers… a new detour on the road may lead us to our new favorite restaurant or biking/hiking path.
3. People watching is pretty epic. I will never not giggle at people picking their nose or rocking out at the top of their lungs from the comfort and ‘privacy’ of their vehicles.
4. Skylines. In fact this is my favorite part of being on the road and outside of an office. On the long drive home from an even longer day of work, sunsets still manage to take my breath away. (Hence the photo op above)

Whatever you do, do it well, and enjoy the little things along the way.
